Shallow LPA enters PAR
A shallow low-pressure area (LPA) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday, according to a weather report on Balitanghali.
The LPA, spotted 970 kilometers east of Legazpi City in Albay, has low chances of developing into a tropical depression.
"Hindi naman natin ito nakikitang magiging isang ganap na bagyo subalit posibleng magdala pa rin ng mga pag-ulan sa mga susunod na araw sa silangang bahagi ng Kabisayaan at sa southern Luzon," PAGASA weather specialist Meno Mendoza said in a separate forecast.
Meanwhile, the Northeasterly Surface Windflow currently affects Luzon.
Gale warning is raised in Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Ilocos Norte, and Cagayan.
Fisherfolk and those with small seacraft were advised not to venture into the said waters as potentially rough waves may be present.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), on the other hand, may bring scattered rains in some parts of Mindanao. —Dona Magsino/KBK, GMA News
