Aurora, Quezon to have isolated rains due to northeast monsoon


The provinces of Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with isolated rains due to the northeast monsoon, PAGASA reported in its early morning weather forecast.

The northeast monsoon, meanwhile, will be affecting northern and central Luzon.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorms. In these areas, PAGASA said, flash floods during severe thunderstorms.

As of 3 a.m. on Saturday, the center of Tropical Depression Sarah was estimated at 630 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 70 kph and moving north slowly.

The wind forecast for Luzon will be moderate to strong moving in the northeast direction while coastal waters are moderate to rough.

In the Visayas and Mindanao, the wind forecast is light to moderate moving north northeastward and coastal waters will remain slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
