Northeast Monsoon to bring light rains to CAR, Cagayan, Aurora, Quezon


The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is affecting Luzon on Saturday, and will cause cloudy skies with light rains over Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Cagayan Valley, Aurora and Quezon, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

The coastal and mountainous areas in the above-mentioned places will have windy conditions.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Meanwhile, Eastern Visayas and Caraga will have cloudy skies with rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may be possible during severe thunderstorm.

The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Palawan and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao, with possible floods or landslides during severe thunderstorm.

 

Coastal waters will be rough in Extreme Northern Luzon, with waves ranging from 2.8 to 4.5 meters tall.

For the rest of Luzon, coastal waters will be moderate to rough with wave height of 1.2 to 2.8 meters.

Elsewhere in the country, coastal waters will be light to moderate.
