Cloudy skies, isolated light rains in Metro Manila due to northeast monsoon

The northeast monsoon will be affecting extreme northern Luzon on Thursday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains brought about by the northeast Monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the northeast monsoon.

The Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms . The weather bureau warns that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed for extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao is strong and moving northeastward while coastal waters will be rough.

The forecast wind speed for the rest of the country is moderate to strong and moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough.
