Northeast Monsoon affecting extreme northern Luzon —PAGASA

The Northeast Monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Region, and Aurora on Sunday, PAGASA said Saturday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency added that it may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

According to PAGASA, the monsoon has no significant effect on the country.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers may prevail over the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.

Residents were warned against possible flash floods during severe thunderstorms.

Due to expected rough to very rough sea conditions, gale warnings are raised over Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Ilocos Norte, and the northern coast of Cagayan.

PAGASA cautioned fishing boats and small vessels against sea voyage while large vessels were alerted against big waves. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LBG, GMA News
