Partly cloudy skies, isolated rains forecast over Metro Manila due to localized thunderstorms


The Tail-End of a Cold Front (TECF) will be affecting the eastern section of southern Luzon while the Northeasterly Surface Windflow (NESWF) affecting northern and central Luzon, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

The provinces of Quezon and Camarines will be cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the TECF as the weather bureau warns that flash floods may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the NESWF.

The Ilocos Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the NESWF.

PAGASA reports that Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorms and that flash floods may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for the eastern section of Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The forecast wind speed for the rest of the country is light to moderate moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate. -- BAP, GMA News
