SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula will be cloudy with rain, thunderstorms
The ridge of a High Pressure Area (HPA) is extending over Northern Luzon on Saturday while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Southern Mindanao, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
The easterlies, meanwhile, will be affecting the rest of the country.
SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, Davao Region, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorm brought about by the ITCZ. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms. The weather bureau also warned of the possibility of the occurrence of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for extreme northern Luzon is light to moderate moving southwestward.
For the rest of Luzon, the wind speed forecast is light to moderate moving in the southeast to south direction.
In the Visayas and Mindanao, wind speed is light to moderate moving in the east to southeast direction. The coastal waters in the country will be slight to moderate.
