Thunderstorm expected over Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Quezon, Pampanga

Moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Quezon, and Pampanga within the next two hours, PAGASA warned Sunday.

In its 5:01 p.m. thunderstorm advisory, the weather bureau said heavy to intense rain showers with lightning and strong winds, meanwhile, are being experienced in the following areas:

•     Metro Manila (Caloocan, Quezon City, Marikina)
•     Zambales (Candelaria, Masinloc, Palauig, Iba)
•     Bulacan (Angat, Norzagaray, San Jose del Monte, Santa Maria)
•     Cavite (Alfonso, Magallanes)
•     Laguna (Los Baños, Bay, Calauan, Alaminos)
•     Rizal (San Mateo, Rodriguez)
•     Batangas

PAGASA said the conditions may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas as well.

Thunderstorms in other areas, meanwhile, are now terminated, PAGASA added.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said. — DVM, GMA News
