Heat index hits 46°C in Aparri, Sangley Point on Monday
PAGASA’s synoptic stations at Aparri in Cagayan and Sangley Point in Cavite City recorded the hottest heat index in the country on Monday at 46°C.
The state weather bureau said the two were followed by Dagupan City with 45°C.

PAGASA warned that a heat index ranging from 41°C to 54°C may lead to heat cramps and exhaustion. Heat stroke is also possible amid continuous physical activity.
Moreover, the PAGASA station at the Science Garden in Quezon City reported a heat index of 40°C at 3:10 p.m.
A maximum temperature of 34.2°C was also recorded in the area at the same time.
