ITCZ to bring rains, thunderstorms over Visayas, MIMAROPA, Northern Mindanao, Caraga

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over MIMAROPA, Visayas, Caraga, and Northern Mindanao, PAGASA said Friday.

In its 24-hour forecast, affected residents were warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers may prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said flash floods and landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhle, the synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 26.2°C at 5:40 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 34.2°C at 1 p.m.  —LDF, GMA News
