ITCZ to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over Visayas, Palawan, and the Zamboanga Peninsula due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), PAGASA said Friday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

The ITCZ and localized thunderstorms may, meanwhile, bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 24.5°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32.8°C at 1:50 p.m. —LDF, GMA News
