LPA, ITCZ to bring rains, thunderstorms over 5 areas
A low pressure area (LPA) and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Quezon, according to PAGASA Monday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
At 3 p.m. on Monday, the LPA was estimated at 410 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes.
Localized thunderstorms may, meanwhile, bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, mostly in the afternoon or evening, over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are also possible.
Meanwhile, the synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25.4°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32.8°C at 1:50 p.m.—AOL, GMA News
