Southwest monsoon to bring rains over Zambales, Bataan, Palawan, Mindoro
The southwest monsoon will be affecting the entire country on Friday, PAGASA reported.
Zambales, Bataan, Palawan, and Mindoro Provinces will experience monsoon rains brought about by the southwest monsoon. These areas may also have flash floods or landslides due to moderate to occasional heavy rains.
Metro Manila, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, Davao Region, and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms also due to the southwest monsoon. The weather bureau warns that flash floods or landslides may during severe thunderstorms.
The rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to southwest monsoon/ localized thunderstorms and severe thunderstorms may bring flash floods or landslides.
The wind speed forecast for northern and western section of Luzon is strong and moving in the southwest to south direction while coastal waters will be rough to very rough.
For the rest of the country, wind speed will be moderate to strong moving in the southwest to south direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The sun will rise at about 5:39 a.m. and set by 6:26 p.m. -- BAP, GMA News
