LPA to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, 3 other areas

The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Mindanao, and Quezon, PAGASA said Wednesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rainshowers.

At 3 p.m. on Wednesday, the LPA was estimated at 225 kilometers south southeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Localized thunderstorms may meanwhile bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25.6 °C at 6:30 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32.7 °C at 12:45 p.m. —LDF, GMA News
