Habagat, Enteng to bring rains over Luzon, Visayas

The southwest monsoon is expected to bring monsoon rains over Zambales, Bataan, Pangasinan, the Mindoro Provinces, and Palawan, PAGASA said Saturday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.

The trough of Tropical Depression Enteng and the southwest monsoon may also bring occasional rains over the Visayas and the rest of Luzon.

At 3 p.m. on Saturday, the center of Enteng was estimated at 500 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.

It is moving north northeast at 15 kph.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers may prevail over Mindanao due to the southwest monsoon.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, according to PAGASA.

Meanwhile, the PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 24°C at 6:05 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 31.2°C at 1:50 p.m.

The weather agency will issue a severe weather bulletin for Enteng at 11 p.m. -MDM, GMA News
