Habagat to bring rains, thunderstorms over Ilocos, Batanes, Babuyan Islands

The southwest monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Ilocos Provinces, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands, PAGASA said Tuesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers may also prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods and landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25.2°C at 6:20 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32.8°C at 1:50 p.m.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
