ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rainshowers over Philippines

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) currently affecting Mindanao is expected to cast cloudy skies with rainshowers over the Philippines within the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.

In its 4 p.m. forecast, the state weather bureau said cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms should be expected over Mindanao as well as Eastern and Central Visayas.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers are seen to prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA advised the public to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.—Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
