LPA to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over 5 areas
The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and the Zamboanga Peninsula, according to PAGASA.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
At 3 p.m. on Thursday, the LPA was estimated at 980 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers may prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are also possible.
