Cloudy skies, scattered rains forecast over Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Caraga due to Trough of LPA
The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 135 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes early Friday morning, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
The Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought about by the Trough of the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.
The weather bureau is also monitoring an active tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of 3 a.m., the tropical depression was located 2,010 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour gustiness up to 55 kph moving northwestward at 15 kph.
The wind speed forecast in northern Luzon is light to moderate moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
For the rest of Luzon, wind speed is light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The wind speed in the Visayas is light to moderate moving in the northwest to southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
In Mindanao, wind speed is light to moderate moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters remain slight to moderate.
