Red rainfall warning raised over Occidental Mindoro, Palawan
PAGASA has raised a red rainfall warning over Occidental Mindoro and Palawan due to a low pressure area (LPA) and the southwest monsoon.
Under this warning, the weather agency said that serious flooding is expected in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas.
Meanwhile, a yellow rainfall warning has been raised over Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Camiguin Islands, and a portion of Surigao del Sur.
PAGASA warned of possible flooding in low-lying areas and landslides.
The weather bureau added that moderate to heavy rains are affecting portions of Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Davao City, Davao del Norte, Sultan Kudarat, Davao del Sur, and nearby areas, which may persist within two to three hours.
Meanwhile, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are expected over portions of Maguindanao, General Santos City, North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sarangani, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Davao del Sur, and Zamboanga del Sur within two to three hours. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
