Orange rainfall warning raised over Palawan, Kalayaan Islands


PAGASA has raised an orange rainfall warning over the southern portion of Palawan and the Kalayaan Islands due to the southwest monsoon.

In its 5:14 p.m. advisory on Wednesday, the weather agency said that under this alert, flooding is “threatening” in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas.

A yellow warning was also raised over the rest of Palawan and Occidental Mindoro.

Under this warning, flooding and landslides are also possible.

Meanwhile, the heavy rainfall warnings  that were raised over Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, Southern Leyte, and Leyte have been terminated.
