LPA being monitored; isolated rains forecast for NCR, rest of country

A low pressure area (LPA) has been spotted east of Batanes on Sunday, but it has no direct effect yet on the country, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

The National Capital Region and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.

At 3 a.m., the LPA was located at 1,340 km east of Basco, Batanes.

Sunrise will be at 5:45 a.m. while sunset will be at 5:54 p.m. —KG, GMA News
