LPA to bring rain, thunderstorms over parts of Luzon, Visayas
A low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Central Luzon, Bicol region, Isabela, Quirino, Quezon and Samar provinces, PAGASA said Wednesday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather bureau said the LPA was located 470 kilometers east northeast of Catarman, Northern Samar at 3 p.m.
Another LPA was also spotted 575 km east of Aparri, Cagayan.
Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon or localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Moreover, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions will prevail in Northern and Central Luzon and the rest of the country.
The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden in Quezon City also reported a minimum temperature of 24.3°C at 6 am. and a maximum temperature of 32.2°C at 1:20 p.m. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
