LPA to bring rains, thunderstorms over Batanes, Cagayan

The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Batanes and Cagayan, including the Babuyan Group of Islands, according to PAGASA on Wednesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA said the trough of the LPA is affecting extreme Northern Luzon.

Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Flash floods and landslides are also possible.

The PAGASA synoptic station also recorded a minimum temperature of 24°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 33.6°C at 1:50 p.m.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
