A low pressure area and the southwest monsoon are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila and eight other areas, PAGASA said Friday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather agency said Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga are also affected by the weather condition.
?PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered moderate to, at times, heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said severe thunderstorms may cause possible flooding or landslides.
The Northeasterly Surface Windflow may, meanwhile, bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.
It has no significant impact on the country, according to the weather agency.
A typhoon outside the Philippine area of responsibility was also located at 1,615 kilometers northeast of extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph.
