Quinta, tail-end of frontal system to bring rains over Metro Manila, rest of Luzon, western Visayas
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm brought about by the Trough of Typhoon Quinta and the Tail-end of the Frontal System with possible flash floods or landslides during light to moderate with times heavy rains, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorm with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
As of 3 a.m. on Tuesday, the eye of Typhoon Quinta (International name: Molave) was located at 580 kilometers west of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro with maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness up to 170 km/h and moving westward at 25 km/h.
Wind speed forecast for northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving in the southeast to northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
For the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon, and Western Visayas wind speed will be moderate to strong moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
