Cloudy skies, scattered rains over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Central Luzon, Bicol Region due to Trough of Tropical Storm Siony

The Northeasterly Surface Windflow will be affecting northern Luzon as Tropical Storm Siony continues to move in the south southwest direction, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Central Luzon and the Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to the Trough of Tropical Storm Siony with possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region will be cloudy skies with light rains brought about by the Northeasterly Surface Windflow and will have no significant impact.

As of 3 a.m. on Wednesday, the center of Tropical Storm Siony (International name: Atsani) was estimated at 700 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 105 kph and moving slowly in the south southwest direction.

The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeasterly surface windflow with no significant impact.

The rest of the country will be partly cloudy skies to at times cloudy with rainshowers or thunderstorm due to localized thunderstorm with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon and the eastern section of central and southern Luzon will have moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough.

In the western section of central Luzon, wind speed forecast is moderate to strong moving in the southwest to southeast direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have moderate to strong wind speed moving in the southwest to west direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.
