Rains, thunderstorms to prevail over Metro Manila, 3 other areas

The tail end of a frontal system is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and the Bicol Region, PAGASA said Friday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region and the Cagayan Valley.

PAGASA said flash floods and landslides are also possible during moderate to heavy rains.

The monsoon may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos region and Central Luzon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers may, meanwhile, prevail over the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.
