Easterlies, Amihan to bring cloudy skies, rain over Philippines —PAGASA

The Easterlies and the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will cast cloudy skies with rain over the Philippines in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said the Easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, the Bicol Region, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

Amihan was seen to cause cloudy skies with rain in Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region as well as partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region and Central Luzon.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms will cast partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

PAGASA advised the public to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides, except in the Ilocos Region and Central Luzon where no significant impact was expected from the forecast weather conditions. —LBG, GMA News
