PAGASA: LPA to bring rains, thunderstorms over 7 areas
A low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over CALABARZON, the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon, PAGASA said Wednesday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.
The LPA was estimated at 25 kilometers north of Catarman, Northern Samar at 3 p.m.
Meanwhile, cloudy skies with light rains may prevail over Batanes and the Babuyan Island due to the northeast monsoon.
PAGASA said it has no significant impact on the country.
Localized thunderstorms may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The weather agency said severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods or landslides over the affected areas.
