LPA to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over Metro Manila, 3 other areas
Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected to prevail over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and Pangasinan due to a low pressure area (LPA), PAGASA said Thursday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.
At 3 p.m. on Thursday, the LPA was estimated at 205 kilometers west-northwest of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region and the Cagayan Valley.
PAGASA said flash floods and landslides are also possible.
The monsoon may also bring cloudy skies with light rains over the rest of the Ilocos region. Despite this, it has no significant impact on the area.
Localized thunderstorms may, meanwhile, bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over the rest of the country.
According to the weather agency, flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
