Northeast Monsoon to bring rains over Batanes, Babuyan
The Northeast Monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with rains over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands on Friday, according to PAGASA.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said flash floods or landslides are possible over the affected areas during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the Easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
The synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 23.5°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 31.8°C at 3 p.m.

In a 3:52 p.m. thunderstorms advisory, PAGASA said moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are currently being experienced in Pampanga, Bulacan, and Quezon, which may persist within 2 hours and affect nearby areas.
Specific areas affected are Apalit, San Simon, San Luis, Pulilan, and Tagkawayan.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” the weather agency said. -MDM, GMA News
