Red rainfall warning up over Catanduanes; yellow over Isabela, Cagayan

PAGASA raised the red rainfall warning over Catanduanes at 5 a.m. on Sunday due to heavy rains from the tail-end of a frontal system.

With the warning, severe flooding is expected in areas prone to this as well as near river channels.

Landslides may also possibly occur in areas prone to this hazard.

Meanwhile, the yellow rainfall warning was hoisted over Divilican, Maconacon and San Pablo in Isabela, and Peñablanca in Cagayan due to rains from the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan).

Flooding and landslides are possible in areas identified to be prone to these hazards.
