Yellow rainfall warning up over parts of Palawan

PAGASA raised the yellow rainfall warning over parts of Palawan on Sunday morning, informing residents of possible flooding and landslides due to heavy rains from the tail-end of a frontal system (Shear Line).

The rainfall warning issued at 11 a.m. covers the southern portion of Palawan including the Kalayaan Group of Islands.

The weather bureau said flooding and landslides are possible in areas prone to these hazards.

Residents and disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned were advised to take appropriate actions, monitor the weather condition and await the next advisory to be issued at 2 p.m. —KG, GMA News
