PAGASA: Cloudy skies, light rains to prevail over Philippines in next 24 hours
Cloudy skies and light rains will prevail over the Philippines within the next 24 hours due to the tail-end of a frontal system, the easterlies, and the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan, PAGASA said late Sunday afternoon.
In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said the tail-end of a frontal system was affecting the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, while Amihan was affecting the rest of Luzon.
Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms should be expected over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers will hover over the rest of the Visayas.
Residents of the said areas were advised to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains were seen to prevail over the Ilocos Region, and cloudy skies with light rains were forecast over the Cagayan Valley as well as the Cordillera Administrative Region.
No significant impact is expected in these places. — Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
