Cloudy skies, scattered rains over Caraga, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN due to the ITCZ


The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Mindanao while the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon on Thursday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.

The Visayas and rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed  forecast for Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will have moderate to strong wind speed moving in the Northeast to East direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough..

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal remain slight to moderate.
