Frontal System to bring rains, thunderstorms over 5 areas

The tail-end of a Frontal System is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and the Zamboanga Peninsula, PAGASA said Wednesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

Cloudy skies with light rains may, meanwhile, prevail over the Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon due to the northeast monsoon.

PAGASA said the monsoon is also expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Despite this, the weather agency said the monsoon has no significant impact on the affected areas.

Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms, the agency said,

The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 20.6°C at 4:30 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 28.2°C at 2 p.m. -MDM, GMA News
