Frontal System to bring rain over the Visayas, Bicol Region

The tail-end of a frontal system was expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Visayas and the Bicol Region, PAGASA announced Saturday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in the affected areas due to moderate to heavy rain.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with light rain would prevail over the Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon due to the northeast monsoon.

The monsoon was also expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Despite this, PAGASA said the monsoon would not significantly impact the affected areas.

Mindanao may, meanwhile, experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

The weather agency said that flash floods or landslides were possible during severe thunderstorms over affected areas.
