Bicol, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Mindanao to have scattered rains due to frontal system


The Tail-End of a Frontal System will bring cloudy skies, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Sunday over the Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of moderate to heavy rains.

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) meanwhile continues to affect the rest of Luzon, and will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora and Quezon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.

Meanwhile, PAGASA is monitoring a low pressure area which was located at 3 a.m. at 490 km east southeast of Davao City.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough, with waves reaching as high as 4 meters, in the seaboards of Luzon.

The seas will be slight to moderate in the rest of the country.

Sunrise will be at 6:25 a.m. while sunset will be at 5:47 p.m. —KG, GMA News
