PAGASA: Frontal system to bring rains, thunderstorms over 4 areas
Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowesr and thunderstorms are expected over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon and Quezon province due to the tail-end of a frontal system, PAGASA said Thursday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.
Meanwhile, a low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are also possible due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.
At 3 p.m. on Thursday, the LPA was estimated at 190 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. The weather agency earlier said the LPA is not likely to develop into a tropical depression.
Visayas and Mindanao may also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the intertropical convergence zone.
Residents of the affected areas were warned against possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.
The weather agency said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers may also prevail over the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.
Due to this, flash floods or landslides are also possible.
