Frontal system to bring rainshowers over 6 areas
The tail-end of a frontal system is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Quezon, Marinduque, Romblon, the Mindoro provinces, and the Samar provinces, PAGASA said Thursday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather bureau warned affected residents against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate with, at times, heavy rains.
The northeast monsoon is also expected to bring cloudy skies with light rains over the Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora as well as partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
PAGASA said the monsoon has no significant impact on the affected areas.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
The weather agency warned that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
PAGASA’s synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 22.4°C at 5 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 30.8°C at 1:50 p.m.—AOL, GMA News
