Yellow rainfall warning up over parts of Negros Occidental, 5 other areas

PAGASA raised the yellow rainfall warning over parts of Negros Occidental and five other provinces on Monday morning.

The yellow rainfall warning was hoisted at 5:45 a.m. over the northern and central portions of Negros Occidental, Guimaras, Iloilo, Capiz, Antique, and portions of Aklan.

PAGASA warned of possible flooding and landslides in areas prone to these hazards.

The heavy rainfall is due to the trough of a low pressure area.

The state weather bureau advised residents and the disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned to take the appropriate actions, monitor the weather condition, and await the next advisory to be issued at 8 a.m. —KG, GMA News
