Frontal system to bring rains, thunderstorms over 7 areas

The tail-end of a frontal system is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Aurora, according to PAGASA on Wednesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather agency said that flash floods or landslides are possible during moderate to heavy rains in the affected areas.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon.

PAGASA said flash floods and landslides are also possible.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains may also prevail over the Ilocos Region due to the northeast monsoon.

The weather agency, however, said the monsoon has no significant impact on the affected region.

Localized thunderstorms may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over the rest of the country.

Flash floods and landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms, according to PAGASA.

Meanwhile, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, the low pressure area being monitored by PAGASA was estimated at 990 kilometers east of Mindanao.—AOL, GMA News
