Northeast monsoon to bring isolated rains over Ilocos, Cordillera

The northeast monsoon is expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over the Ilocos Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region, PAGASA said in its 24-hour forecast on Thursday.

According to the weather agency, however, the monsoon has no significant impact on the affected areas.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers are expected to prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned affected residents against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Its synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 23.2°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 31.2°C at 1:50 p.m.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF,GMA News
