Tail-end of frontal system to bring rain to parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas
The tail-end of a frontal system will bring rain over the eastern section of Southern Luzon and Visayas, while cloudy skies will prevail over the rest of Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon, PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather bureau said the Visayas, the Zamboanga Peninsula and the provinces of Palawan, Albay, Sorsogon and Masbate will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a frontal system.
PAGASA warned affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.
Cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon and the rest of Bicol Region due to the north east monsoon.
The Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA warned.
Moreover, moderate winds and moderate coastal water conditions will be experienced in Luzon, while light to moderate winds and light to moderate waters will prevail over Visayas and Mindanao. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
