LPA to bring rain over several parts of the country —PAGASA

The low pressure area that was formerly Tropical Depression Auring is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rain and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region and Quezon, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather bureau said the LPA was located 50 kilometers west southwest of Legazpi City, Albay at 3 p.m.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will also prevail over Metro Manila, Western Visayas, MIMAROPA, Central Luzon, the rest of CALABARZON and Northern Samar due to the LPA.

Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region will experience cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon.

The northeast monsoon will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

Further, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail over the eastern sections of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will be experienced in the rest of the country. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
