LPA may still bring rains over parts of the country —PAGASA
The low pressure area that was formerly Tropical Depression Auring might still bring moderate to heavy rains over Camarines Norte, Aurora, and the northern and central portions of Quezon, PAGASA said Monday night.
In its 11 p.m. weather advisory, the weather agency said light to moderate with, at times, heavy rains might also prevail over Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, the northern and western portions of Camarines Sur, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Isabela, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Batanes and the rest of CALABARZON.
“Under these conditions, isolated flash flooding and rain-induced landslides are likely during heavy or prolonged rainfall especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards as identified in hazard maps,” PAGASA said.
At 10 p.m., the LPA was located 85 kilometers north northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte or 180 km east of Infanta, Quezon.
“This weather disturbance is less likely to redevelop into a tropical depression and is more likely to dissipate over or near the landmass of mainland Luzon in the next 24 hours,” PAGASA said.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
