LPA to bring rains, thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao

A low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Visayas and Mindanao, according to PAGASA on Wednesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather agency warned affected residents against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

The LPA was estimated, based on all available data, at 640 kilometers east-southeast of Davao City or 675 km east of General Santos City,

Meanwhile, PAGASA said that partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains may prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.

PAGASA said the monsoon has no significant impact on the country.

The synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 22°C at 6:30 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32.2°C at 3:10 p.m.—AOL, GMA News
