Northeast monsoon to bring cloudy skies, light rains over parts of northern, central Luzon
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies, light rains over parts of northern and central Luzon on Wednesday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains brought about by the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the state weather bureau is monitoring two weather systems outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
A tropical depression is located 45 kilometers west northwest of Kalayaan islands, Palawan with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness up to 70 kph and slowly moving in the west to northwest direction.
The second weather system is a severe tropical storm located 1,800 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 100 kph near the center, gustiness up to 125 kph and moving northward at the speed of 20 kph.
Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Luzon wind speed forecast is light to moderate moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
Wind speed forecast for the Visayas and Mindanao is light to moderate moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
