Northeast monsoon to bring scattered rains over Bicol, Eastern Visayas


The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is currently affecting Luzon and is expected to bring scattered rain showers over the Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas on Saturday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

These areas will also have cloudy skies and thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Mindanao, Mimaropa, and the rest of Visayas meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Northeast Monsoon and localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may also occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Northern Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
